New Applicants (E.g., First-time Audiologist, First-time Speech-Language Pathologist, First-time Conditional Speech-Language Pathologist, First-time Audiology Aide, First-time Speech-Language Pathology Aide) must visit the e-License Home Page at:

  • Choose the Login / Create an Account option.
  • Choose the "I DON'T HAVE A LICENSE" button.
  • Follow the prompts to register for a new eLicense account as a new licensee.
  • After successfully registering, you will be directed to your online user Dashboard page and able to select the appropriate application for licensure.

Current Licensees with an "Active," "Inactive," or "Expired" license type must first register in the new Ohio eLicense portal to create an account:

  • Audiologist
  • Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Conditional Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Audiology Aide
  • Speech-Language Pathology Aide

Note: Dually licensed individuals will be able to access and manage both licenses upon registering.

Please follow the steps below to create an account and review your profile information:

  • Navigate to the new e-License Home Page at
  • Choose the Login / Create an Account option.
  • Choose the "I HAVE A LICENSE" button.

You will be prompted to enter your Social Security Number, Security Code, Date of Birth, a valid email address and create a unique password. Note: to obtain your Security Code via e-mail, the e-mail address you enter on the account registration page must by the same as the e-mail address on file with the board. If you are unable to obtain a Security Code because your e-mail address does not match what is currently on file, please contact the board at: (614) 466-3145 for assistance.

After successfully registering, you will be directed to your online user Dashboard page. From the Dashboard, individuals will be able to apply for license, renew a license, request to go inactive, apply for restoration, apply for relicensure, manage profile, access the user's Cart, and submit service requests (e.g., Change address, Change Name, license verifications, etc.).

Browser Information: It is recommended that you use newer versions of Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox web browsers. Internet Explorer users, must use IE 11 or Edge to access the eLicense 3.0 system.
